Experience the Home of Golf

Take Part in the Trilogy-Wide Trip to St. Andrews

If playing the greens of the legendary Old Course at St. Andrews is on your golfing “bucket list,” here’s your chance to check this experience off as you check into the golf excursion of a lifetime.  Members of all Trilogy communities, as well as the SHAL communities of Ardiente and Jubilee, are invited to travel to Scotland this September to take part in the Old Course Experience at St. Andrews.

St. Andrews is the “Home of Golf,” where the game has been nurtured and developed for over 600 years. Every year, thousands of golfers make the pilgrimage from all corners of the globe with the hope of playing the legendary Old Course, and yet many are disappointed, as the daily ballot for tee times is always hugely over-subscribed. Through the Trilogy Old Course Experience trip this fall, Trilogy members will be able to travel to St Andrews, safe in the knowledge that their Old Course tee-time is already secured and guaranteed, and that they will be able to play with their golf buddies on the most famous course of all time.  In addition to the Old Course, this trip will include rounds on the Torrance, Jubilee, Kingsbarns, and Castle Championship Courses in St. Andrews.

(Please note that in order to play the Old Course, golfers must be in possession of a valid handicap certificate showing a handicap of 24 or less for men and 36 or less for ladies.)

You and your fellow members will spend five nights at the five-star Fairmont St. Andrews.  During your stay, you’ll have plenty of time to sightsee, tour castles and palaces, visit St. Andrews Cathedral, peruse the British Golf Museum, and get a taste of local life in the pubs and shops.  Or, if you’d prefer to squeeze in as much world-class golf as possible in your five-day stay, that can also be arranged.

You’ll start each day with a full Scottish breakfast at your hotel, and you’ll enjoy lunch each afternoon at one of the golf club restaurants.  A three-course dinner one evening in your hotel is also included in the price of the trip, as are daily round-trip transfers between the hotel and the golf courses, practice range privileges, a souvenir group photograph taken on the first tee of the Old Course, and a generous range of official, souvenir merchandise.  A dedicated Old Course Experience representative will be available throughout your stay, ensuring that every step of your trip goes smoothly.

Many of the exciting details of the 2012 Trilogy Old Course Experience Trip are outlined in the itinerary below.  Welcome home, golfers!
