Who knew you loved paddle boarding? That’s life at Ocala Preserve: trying new things, meeting new friends, and discovering untapped talents. One day it could be kayaking and fishing, the next, golf followed by a cooking class and an intense game of cribbage.
This is an outdoor fitness experience that is the feature stop along the Avid Trails™ system at Ocala Preserve.
Situated directly on Reflection Lake, the Shoreline Outfitter offers canoes or kayaks perfect for exploration or exercise. Looking for something more active? Challenge yourself on the marked "Lake Loop" course that can be used for timing water activities and measuring improvement. If fishing is more your pace, simply drop a line and pit your wits against the well-stocked lake.
Members looking to tap into their competitive side are well provisioned for here at Ocala Preserve. The Sports Courts feature three tennis courts and four pickleball courts where Member groups meet regularly to enjoy a friendly game or two. Situated next to the courts and pool and overlooking Reflection Lake, the two bocce courts are perfect for an afternoon or evening game among friends.

Escape to Eagle's Nest, the sports- and media-themed hideout that offers poker and card tables, billiards, shuffleboard, flatscreen TVs, and the golf shop.
Sometimes an afternoon calls for sipping cocktails after swimming laps or for relaxing on a luxurious poolside chaise after a refreshing dip. The resort & lap pools are a place where Members can lounge all day, enjoying the warm Florida sun and views over Reflection Lake.
The Exploration Trails are the arteries that connect the community, fastidiously-designed for peak physical experience. Whether you want to run or roam, there are asphalt, concrete, and natural surface options for bicycles, golf carts, and walking. Cleverly, the trails are measured in furlongs, the measure of distance used in horseracing, with one furlong equivalent to 1/8 of a mile.
